Well, it wasn't really a "war". It may have developed into an armed conflict, but only if everyone fucked up. It's like the War on Drugs - it's not a bunch of addicts in foxholes lobbing grenades at the police.

And it's estimated that Reagan's fiscal policies led to the death of at least 50,000 people who became homeless as a result .... not to mention all the AIDS deaths that came as a result of his administration just letting it run rampant.

If you tell a joke in the forest, but nobody laughs, was it a joke?

Interesting thought. Maybe people would take it more seriously then.

it was last week, but for those of you who know what I'm talking about, Monday 21st was World Nick Day. Vale, Nick, we miss you.

who?

Drunk Midget to even Drunker Chick - Have you ever had anyone go up on you before?

Son: Is there anything we can do to get Buffy back?
Mom: Well, we could join together in prayer.
Son: Uh huh. Is there anything useful we can do?
Mom: No.

Marlon Brando died at the age of 80. He was in A Street Car Named Desire.

...he was in a helluva lot more than a streetcar named desire which was his second listed job. see, if it was me? i would have said 'he was Don Vito Corleone in the Godfather'...

but that's just me.

Yeah, I'd've thought more people would recognise him as The Don than for some of his earlier work. He was noticed in The Godfather more than he might've been if he hadn't done earlier stuff... But without the Godfather he wouldn't still have been a big name by now, since there were a lot of lame-ass movies between Streetcar (the play and the movie) and Godfather.

Oh well.
Reports are that he died of lung failure. Doctors won't release the details because he was "a very private man", which I think is a bit bogus considering they announced his death in the first place.

I was only posting. I didn't think about the Godfather movie, but I know he was in it for sure. I know he was in this other movie I saw a few years ago and it was pretty funny. I can't remember the name. All I know is that he was a sherrif and had this religious streak in him.

When I told my mom about it, I think she was caught off guard.

It's not just you, a lot of places are listing him as the star of Streetcar, rather than Godfather. It's very odd.

I just didn't think. I mean yeah The Godfather was huge, but sometimes I think they list the first big thing that they did. And just recently someone was talking about him being in Streetcar and this was a few weeks before now.

Hmmm. I thought we got over this 'pneumonia with complications' crap in the early 90's. It was usually a thinly veiled metaphor for AIDS. There's no shame in that any more.
Not that I'm saying that Brando died of AIDS, it's just the first thing that leaps to mind when the doctors refuse to give more than a vague cause of death. It could have been anything - maybe "lung failure" means "he ain't breathing no more" for all I know.

He was tremendously fat, I suspect he would've had all sorts of health issues?
