What to get...

the boy who has everything.

Seriously, it's mine and my boyfriends three year anniversary. My present from him is an expensive dinner but i'm stumped at what to get him. usually it'd be a nice comic book, or cd or something but he said he doesn't want anything like that.

Can anyone think of anything on par with a nice dinner (it can't involve food, or a picnic or anything like that)

argh i just don't know!

pleeaseee and thankyouse

Action figure of his favourite superhero/character from Star Wars/Trek. Not a nice dinner, but hours of fun! *looks at the Strider on computer, beside the Optimus Prime bobble-head, and in front of the Beaker riding the cow*

Other than that, I have found the best system for buying presents for people important to me is to wander the streets, looking at various shops. Something will eventually grab your attention, and it will be good.

on par with nice dinner, a nice hotel room to stay in after the nice dinner (if you do that sort of thing)

I know many people who have done that for special days

Combine Claire's idea with a trip to the nearest extravagant cinema (Village Gold Class or Hoyts' whatever it is) for a nice movie he would like to see.

Mmmm, I would have had my three year anniversary this year, and I would have been happy with a book

Depending of course on the type of guy, you could handwrite him a letter, on some sort of fancy paper, place it in a fancy envelope and present it to him on the day. Within the body of the letter, you write all the things he means to you and such. It's romantic, sweet, and won't destroy the weekly budget

Fate…and Johnson and Friends…brought us together.

I can't believe...my account still exists!

I reckon the dinner/movie/hotel ideas are really sweet. Pirates is a damn fine movie too

The best thing I ever did for my guy (now husband) was get a stretch limo to pick us up to take us to the fancy dinner. He'd never been in one before and it wassn't THAT expensive, but the memories have lasted a lifetime!

I think Vagrants idea is great! If I would get that it would be better than any gift (except of course a little magical pink fairy with purple stripes who could bring all my cute cuddly animals to life... but, you can't have everything).

Other things I thought of this morning (Yes, I did not have a book to read at breakfast)

1. A shrubbery!!!
2. A massage.
