Smacktard of the day: Rene Rivkin.

If you're going to avoid jail based on being too unwell to attend, it would probably be smart not to let the whole world see you turning into even more of a fat fuck gorging yourself at expensive eateries and smoking your fat cigars.
Most people don't disbelieve you have medical troubles - anyone your age, weight and posessing your love of cigars and "fine" food would be lucky to be 100% well - but it is implausible you are well enough to be out and about as much as you are and not be able to attend at least some of your weekend detention.

As someone suggested in the paper - give up on the idea of making him go to jail for what he did. Penalise him monetarily. He is quite clearly not broke, so he can't escape punishment if you change it to a hefty fine. Trying to get him to go to jail is becoming a farce.

Runner-up: Janet Jackson - your tits are floppy and your career is almost dead. Timberlake can destroy his own career, he doesn't need your help. :P
(P.S. Your brother is in trouble for allegedly molesting boys much younger than he is. Is this problem genetic? Can we expect La Toya to be next?)

British bomb joker heading home

British student Samantha Marson, arrested in the United States last month after joking she was taking bombs onto a plane, was heading back to Britain after agreeing to a plea bargain.

Marson's lawyer, Oscar Sanchez, said the 21-year-old met the conditions of the deal, which were to donate about $US1,000 ($A1,315) to a September 11 victims fund and write an apology.

An order that she must return to court on Friday to prove she had met the terms was waived and she had caught a flight to Britain.

"She has been given permission to leave, and her appearance was no longer required," Sanchez said.

Marson had left Miami for London but he could not say where she would be staying on her arrival.

She was travelling with her father.

Charges against her were expected to be dropped in her absence on Friday.

Earlier, Marson told LBC radio: "Of course I'm very sorry for what I did.

"At the moment I'm just happy that my father is here with me supporting me and I'm just dreaming to come back home to see my mother."

Marson, from Bridgnorth in Shropshire, could have spent up to 15 years in jail for the crime of making a false bomb report.

She was about to board a British Airways flight from Miami International to London on January 17 when she told an official at a baggage check point: "Hey be careful, I have three bombs in here."

Asked to repeat herself, she made the same statement twice and was arrested.

She spent four nights in Miami Dade County Jail.

After being bailed, Marson said she was "really very sorry" and that she had made a "foolish joke".

I remember reading that.

I do feel kind of sorry for her. All the tension around air travel must be pretty horrid at the moment, so trying to lighten the mood would be good.
Bad choice of joke, though.

God, that reminds me of something

In year 7, I went to Canberra on a school trip to learn about federal parliment system (i can't spell) and one of the boys thought it would be funny, to point a finger gun (when you make a gun with both of you hands) at one of the guards at the metal detector, he got a tongue lashing and dishes duty for the rest of the trip.

With Chemists rising pill prices by 65%, people are now turning speed into cold and flu tablets: Dolphin Juice 26/4/05 (Who said community TV sucked?)

Smacktard of the day: Has to be the cyber coppers shown on the news looking all big and mean whilst raiding... Kazaa!
Kazaa is one of the most popular file sharing services in the world. It allows the spread of many pirated music and video files.
Napster was the most popular file sharing service in the world. It's been neutered/shut down.
Even if you can prove that Kazaa has broken an Australian law, shutting Kazaa down will not stop music piracy!! People will just move on to the next big thing. And when you shut that down, they'll move onto something else.. And so on.
Puffing out your chests and bragging about this is great for a laugh, though, so thanks!
Doorknob polisher would be beyond the average Australian netcop's intelligence. Smacktards.

I wonder who I'd have to talk to to get a job there. Mannn, that'd be a cushy job.

Once again it's the raid on music pirates. Turns out the raids may not have been completely legal leaving the way open for Kazaa to sue for damages.
