Okay, I was prepared to feel sorry for her right up to that point. Saying it once is just mucking about, repeating it a few times is just plain idiotic.

Personally I find it hard to believe that the girl would repeat the joke.

Secondly I don't find it hard to believe Americans are paranoid about security, especially at airports.

Thirdly, I know that the media reports that which they are told. Which is to say, that which they are told may not be the truth *cough* weaponsofmassdestruction *cough*

The poor girl made a bad choice, but was likely nothing more than a scapegoat.

Of course, it's all conjecture. Nobody will ever know!

Fate…and Johnson and Friends…brought us together.

I can't believe...my account still exists!

Smacktard of the day: Neil Harvey (Wisden Cricketer of the Year, 1954) for saying that despite how good Dravid and Laxman have been, Tendulkar is still the best player in the world currently.

ALL THREE OF THEM GET REGULARLY SPANKED BY AUSTRALIA!!!!

Smacktard.

I'd put Gilchrist (batting/wicketkeeping) and Symonds (batting/bowling/fielding) at least above those three. Probably Ponting and Hayden too.

Though now I've said all that, expect Tendulkar to make about two thousand runs today.

Oh, and, runner-up to the person watching the movie "Irreversible" (thanks pixieDAAS) who felt like they were going to puke during a very graphic scene of someone being anally raped, but felt it was "important" that they stay and watch the rest of the film. You fucking smacktard.

Where exactly is the line for these film makers? Can they really get away with anything they want because it's "art"?

Second runner-up goes to the film maker. Third runner-up to anyone who supports them. :P

Man shot dead by police
February 10, 2004 - 8:05AM

A man who allegedly threw weapons at police has died after being shot by an officer in regional Victoria.

Police said they were called to a house in Ballarat following reports of an altercation between occupants at about 2.30am (AEDT).

The man, aged in his 50s, allegedly threw a tomahawk and a knife at police outside the house in Elizabeth Street, Wendouree, and approached them in a threatening manner.

Officers used capsicum spray to no avail before the man was shot in the upper body, police said.

The man was taken to hospital but did not survive the shooting.

It's Irreversible (being helpful, not critical), what is with these french film directors making films that are almost unbearable to watch? Even Basi Moi caused problem when it came out here (for about a week, before the film board took it away, for being too sexually violent)

i agree with you Mythor, why pay money for a film you know you can't stomach, did they stay to get their money's worth or to prove this person wasn't "chicken"

The French Parliament for 'The bill stipulates that "in schools, junior high schools and high schools, signs and dress that conspicuously show the religious affiliation of students are forbidden." '

Which comes down to no Muslim head scarves, no Jewish skull caps and no large Christian crosses. But little ones are just fine. They claim it's to help fight Islamic Fundamentalism and intergrate people into French society. The girls from more conservative muslim families are just going to love the intergration or not being able to go to school or having to attend private schools because they're not permitted to leave the house without a head scarf.

Smacktard of the day, for mine... well, it was a couple of days ago but I wasn't near a computer... was the dumbarse chick on local news when, while reading a story about some members of the St. Kilda Football Club visiting prison inmates at Risdon, used the phrase "saints and sinners came together today" about half a dozen times. Twee, moralising, full of shit.
