Your "smacktard" of the day is...

Mythor!

Did you see that one coming? I'm sure a few of you did.

Let's see. Running the MOSH chat and dare I say, the MOSH board like a dicatorship qualifies for the award.

Kicking people out of the chat for no explanation at all? Yep, I think he's got today's award all sown up!

Congratulations, you stupid cunt! Now go fuck yourself!

Oh grow up, child!

And if you're going to be accusing people and calling them names, actually accuse the right person.

I expect an apology for Mythor from you, now.

Because wrongful accusation? Really, really sucks.

And I really really don't care.

You're banned from chat.
You know you're banned from chat.
You're using the webchat to get around it.
You are therefore subject to having that ban enforced by any operator of the channel that chooses to enforce said ban.

I can add a MOSH ban to it if you'd like, though. It's really no trouble.

I was getting to you...

You should remember that it wasn't all your kickings and that Mythor joined in. And besides, this is the second time in so many days that he has continually kicked me off the chat for no reason.

My Smacktard of today is John Stanhope from the ACT who is attempting to pacify residents near the proposed new jail site by saying that the jail will have 'ambience'.

I mean honestly NIMBY's don't care about what the building looks like all they want to do is make sure that it is not near them.
The inmates aren't going to care what the building looks like from the outside cos funnily enough they won't get to see it very often.
And the people concerned with the rights of prisoners don't care what the building looks like so long as there are adequate services within. It really is so important that people in prison have access to rehabilitation services not just incarceration, how else do you ever expect to break the cycle

How about John Stanhope realises that he can't survive on his cult of personality much longer and start actually making the hard decisions for the ACT, yes there needs to be a prison, yes they have chosen the right location, it is unfortunately tough titties time for the residents

Well, MY personal Smacktard of the day would have to be Jonathan Levin and everyone else at the WB network for deciding to cut ANGEL after season 5. leaving Joss and the crew with 5 episodes to wrap everything up.

fuckwits.
*sob*

And after reading that, i'm thinkin Stevie Goss gets a good vote for the honour also.

My vote today goes to the idiot from NOVA in Sydney who asked David Bowie during yesterdays press conference "Did you bring Major Tom?" and "What's you're favourite colour?" Even Bowie called him an idiot.

I vote for the fuckwit who's given me a god-awful flu virus.
Then I vote for the guy who runs Forestry Tasmania and the chairman of Gunns (I watched Four Corners last night, I think it affected me) for using Tasmania as one big woodchipping mill.

...but we are not stupid pooeys, so let's rejoice...

I'd like to add a big Smacktard of the Day vote to everyone out there who flees from the police and then complains when they are injured/killed.

You know, when a bunch of teenagers get drunk, steal a car, try to outrun the police and then wrap themselves around a telegraph pole. Parents then call the cops the bad guys. Bollocks. Maybe if your kids had been at home in your care and not out breaking the law, they wouldn't be dead.

Same goes for 17 year olds on pushbikes who are fleeing an arrest warrant. (Whether the police were chasing them or not).

*Sorry if this is a bit harsh, but it's how I feel today.*

My Smacktard Du Jour for yesterday was the good folk at Today Tonight for their stunning expose on shoplifting. As well as the usual murky security cam footage and the shop owner soundbytes that you'd expect they also went to the extreme measure of getting some youngsters to go into shops and walk off with stuff, and then shoving a camera in the face of the other shoppers and demanding to know why they didn't do anything to stop them. Absolutely no exploration of why people shoplift or ways in which the problem can be addressed, just blame-placing on the bystanders who probably didn't feel like getting their heads kicked in by shoplifters who obviously don't give a damn about laws or other people.

But what really pissed me off was the "recreation" where they had a 'young hooligan' actor snatch a handbag from an 'old lady' actor in a busy shopping centre. People freaked out, some shop assistant chased the kid and everyone came over to make sure the 'victim' was okay, which is pretty much what TN didn't want to happen. But someone could've tackled the kid to the ground or smacked him in the head or tried to trip him, or the kid could've run into someone and knocked them over, or someone could have fallen trying to chase him. Dangerous, sensationalistic, without journalistic merit ... just plain fucked up 'current affairs'. Why report on an actual story with actual footage when you can create your own? Why try to actually find the reasons behind a crime when you can blame the passersby? Why rely on grainy security footage when you can freak out people in a dangerous stunt and get nice clear footage?

If I'd've been on earlier today, they would've been my smacktard for the day too, GM. I thought that whole report was a disgrace.
And if that kid had tried to run past me he would've been clotheslined, probably cracking his skull on his way down.

And then they would have SUED MY ARSE.
Hell, a real crook would have, too.
Just like GZ said, too.

It isn't shopper's jobs to stop shoplifters, and with the sterling job the cops are doing on keeping guns out of the hands of criminals, who'd want to risk it now anyway?
Bravery is not the same thing as stupidity.

My smacktard for the day is the woman at Kingswood Chicken Man who looked at us funny for buying two drinks but only one choccie bavarian thingy. :P
(my brain hurts and I don't want to come up with a better one... plus the aboriginals are screaming out to be made smacktards for second day running. )
