You could always try it and report back.

calling all phone-people!

i got my baby nokia wet on the weekend and it's as good as dead. woe. i can still turn it on and the screen lights up and beeps when there's messages and calls, but nothing appears on the screen :/ i'm a bit over the death of my phone, but i'm not over the death of the stuff on my phone. does anyone know how i could get it back? i'm meaning smses and contact details, stuff like that. i was wondering if i'd be able to get my stuff back if i bought a data cable for that phone? even if i can't automatically transfer it to my new phone, it'd still be nice to have all that info somewhere accessable

if this would work and i could indeed do this, does anyone have a nokia 3120 data cable i could borrow? i'd pay for postage from and to you, and i have no interest in stealing it from you as i only need to use it once might work out cheaper than buying one on ebay *s*

also! in relation to my new baby phone - a motorola razr v3 - it appears it can only hold 30 sms. wtf? my old baby could hold 100 is there any way to increase its limit? i'm a sentimental hoarder -_- else i may have to buy a data cable for that too *rolls eyes* my lameness shouldn't cost me this much moneyyy -_-

Does it have expandable memory? Or is that only the v3x? I have over 100 stored on mine (v3x) and the memory meter is only up to 2 of 5 or something so hrm.

The data cable for the Motorola uses a pretty standard USB connector cable to your computer. It has (on one end) a small USB connector for the phone and (on the other end) a larger one for the computer.

My mate has the same phone as you. We have helped her many times to get the information off her phone. We use our digital camera USB cable and it works. We also have another cable for our digital video camera, and the USB cable for that also works with the phone. With one of the cables, we have had to use the itty bitty connector thing that comes with the phone, but as I said, both cables work with that phone. I think we saved mate about $50 on the cable.

If you have a digital camera, try that cable or borrow a friend's. If you are anywhere in Melbourne, I might be able to help you. PM me.

Edit: Nevermind, I went with the cheaper one in the end. More features, more convenient, etc.

Has anyone got a heart rate monitoring watch type thing? How much do they usually cost? And are the ones without the chest band thingy garbage? Or just not quite as useful as the chest band ones?
I can get a cheap one with a chest band thingy and a pedometer but I'm worried I'll keep not wearing the chest band bit, but then the one where you have to touch the watch to get a reading doesn't keep track of things like resting/max/avg by itself, it just gives you a reading when you touch it.
Of course, a touchy one would then mean I could let other people do their heart rate on my watch.

The touchy one is $20 more, but looks much nicer, and I don't really need the pedometer, so it's a wash unless someone can give me some good reasons one way or the other?

hmm i think my dad had one for a while, best place to get info would be straight from the chemist's mouth. the larger chemists would have more info.

Drunk Midget to even Drunker Chick - Have you ever had anyone go up on you before?

Son: Is there anything we can do to get Buffy back?
Mom: Well, we could join together in prayer.
Son: Uh huh. Is there anything useful we can do?
Mom: No.
