Eastern/Western Victoria and Mildura/Sunraysia aren't getting it, it looks like.

[Edit]
That's just in Victoria. Other places may also not be getting it, I didn't check.

that's pretty shit.... channel 7 really do blow goats... I felt I should've stayed up to give it more ratings or something but ended up just going to bed cos I have them on DVD anyway.

so what did those who hadn't seen it think?

The ratings thing only works if you have a ratings box thing, else I'd've switched the TVs on here too. Having it canned even earlier than it was in the US would really suck.

i thought it was okay. nothing REALLY good. but you guys said the first episode was a bit slow, and just because it is a joss wedon show, i am going to watch it again next week
i really hated the Jasmine character from Angel and now she's one of the leads in this??? noooo. i hope her new character isn't as annoying as Jasmine was.

Her character in this is about a zillion times better than Jasmine. And better than Ana Espinosa in Alias, too.

[Edit]
The first two episodes are "good" but I'd have to say ep3 & 4 (assuming I have the order "right") are where it really starts to shine.
We'll see. If it doesn't get canned. [/pessimism]

yup, mum grabbed the DVD's very very good show. Hasnt quite grabbed me as much as Buffy and Angel, but by the last episode, I was soooo frustrated! The series progresses really well, although there was one I thought was shite and un-needed to an extent, reminded me of an episode of Charmed. But watch out for Jaynestown, very good episode! and plus, space-ships, horses, cowboys, Companions, Girls in boxes, how can it be bad?!?!
****SPOILER****

what the hell is with the preacher? and does River's thing get resolved? and are kaylee and Simon ever going to get it on? Would arrgh shit i've forgotten her name, the Companion really leave the ship? Would Zoe and shit, driver guy...bugger, Wash, have a baby? Would Jayne be eternally adorable despite his past ills?

Pretty much none of the "mystery" in the series gets resolved. So yes, it's going to be a tad frustrating.

I'm hoping the movie will resolve some of the things but I've been trying to avoid any plot information about it.

It's probably wrong but one of my friends told me that she had heard that the movie was going to be like a remake of the opening eps. *shrug* not sure where she got that from.

I hope it's a following thing to explain some of the bits that didn't get wrapped up in the series.

"See, heroin was my main man, but now I'm on the methadone, and I'm getting my act together, and you come here and say you wanna help, and I say hey, far out.....you could be my main man." (Curt, to Brian)

Nah, the movie's not going to be like that - it basically has the same characters, I think it's going to start from the same sort of point but I read somewhere they were going to leave out the whole blue sun (2 by 2, hands of blue) thing - because they'd just have too much.

but yeah, reavers, action, drama, coolness. I'm so psyched.

And I dunno, i think the train job is one of the best eps of the show, so maybe it's just not for you? *shrugs*

hang about for shindig - hilarity and brilliance. and also war stories and Out of gas - those 2 are my fave episodes.
