Finally, the wonderful Joss Whedon series 'Firefly' will be coming to Australian TV. but at a crappy timeslot, of course. thank you AGAIN Channel 7 *grumble*- from November 10 - Firefly will be showing on Channel 7 at 12:30am, and what's worse - they're playing it not in the proper order - but in the order the eps were shown in the US. but still, people, this is DEFINATELY one to watch. I'm trying to encourage as many people as possible to watch this show. it's FUCKING GREAT. if you don't think a lot of it after the pilot (if they show that first, there's a petition/letter writing campaign here to get the eps shown in order - so if you feel like lending a hand - do so, please  )keep watching, the pilot is a little slow to start, but definately worth a look. i seriously watched all of these eps in about a week (would've been less if it were possible) and have watched them all, repeatedly, since) so go visit www.sixdegreesofwhedon.com or, to find out about the movie being made based on the show go here: www.serenitymovie.com orrrr... to talk to the fans: www.fireflyfans.net there's more sites out there.. but my hand hurts from the typing. Reputation: Reputation Power: 9 | It's technically on the 10th, because it's tomorrow morning. But 1am is still "tonight" in most people's books, not "tomorrow morning". First episode to air will apparently be "The Train Job", according to Ch7's online guide. I think it's a good start to the series although perhaps not one of the best episodes. It gets you into the story and gives you an idea of the character of most of the crew... For those who don't even have a vague idea what sort of show it is, it's Sci-Fi... But probably not like anything you've seen before. I want to explain more but I don't want to spoil anything. *s* It's funny, exciting, dramatic, moving and oh so shiny.  If you watched Buffy/Angel you'll have seen some of the actors before - most of them got gigs on B&A after Firefly got cancelled. Umm. Imagine me gibbering some more here. Even if you're not much of a scifi fan ordinarily, the story and humour may grab you anyway. Tape it if you don't want to stay up. And if you end up liking it, buy the DVDs! Support things other than reality TV!  | ||
