i noticed though that they cut the original line about if a model had put a lamb chop in her bag she wouldn't be in jail and there was another one about people wouldn't get the death penalty if they strapped lamb to themselves.

Son: Is there anything we can do to get Buffy back?
Mom: Well, we could join together in prayer.
Son: Uh huh. Is there anything useful we can do?
Mom: No.

The model line is in the version on the website. Don't know about the suicide lambers though.

Yesterday I was having a really bad day. All sorts of horrible things had happened (whish I won't fetail for brevity's sake), and I was busting to go to the loo with no option except Flinders St toilets. My "Good Onya" goes to the mystery person who wrote "purple mokey dishwasher" on the paper dispenser. It made my day just that litttle bit better.

Oh, and The Sex Pistols. Now that's rock 'n' roll.

i nominate the phone company soul for this, purely on the ending of their latest commercial:

why can't more people raise their kids like this. i found his remark on why he did it without thinking of himself quite profound for a 14 year old

http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/sto...13-661,00.html

A TEENAGER rescued a baby dangling in his baby capsule and comforted the infant's dying mother following a high speed car crash in Springvale.

A 33-year-old woman from Endeavour Hills died in hospital following the crash on Police Rd shortly after 8 last night.

A car on the wrong side of the road thought to have been travelling at 160km/h hit three other vehicles, major collisions investigation unit Acting Senior Sergeant Chris Carnie said today.

Matt Vongsykeo, 14, heard the crash from his house and went to help, seeing a Holden Jackaroo propped against a small brick wall.

"As I got closer, there were two guys standing outside and they said there was a baby inside and I could hear a baby crying." he told Southern Cross Radio.

"They were too big to get in, so one of them actually lifted up the boot so that I could go inside and get the baby out of its baby chair.

"I struggled holding the baby's head up with one hand, because its head was just hanging, and I unclipped the baby belt with the other hand and got it out as quick as I could."

He then found the baby's mother in the driver's seat.

"I wasn't sure if she was dead or unconscious at the time and I just freaked out, but then I went around to the other side of the car and started talking to her, and she started to make noise, so I knew she was all right," he said.

"I kept telling her that her kid was all right and kept asking her to talk to me so I knew that she would stay with me, and then the ambulance people came, and it was unfortunate that she's gone."

Matt dismissed suggestions he was a hero.

"I've lived 14 years, if something had happened to me ... I've lived 14 years. That baby hasn't and I wanted to give that baby a chance," he said

Sgt Carnie said the speeding Holden Commodore first side-swiped a Toyota Camry, shearing a wheel from the Toyota, then hit the woman's Jackaroo before crashing into a Honda Civic.

"It was a massive collision from our point of view. The damage to the vehicles was tremendous," Sgt Carnie told Southern Cross Radio.

The Commodore driver, a man aged about 40, was thrown clear following the second collision and is in a critical condition at The Alfred hospital, he said.

"The reasons why he was on the wrong side of the road are a bit of a mystery to us at this stage," he said.

"Hopefully at some time in the future we can get a chance to talk to him and find out."

A woman in her early 20s suffered serious back and chest injuries and was also taken to The Alfred hospital.

Another woman was sent to the Monash Medical Centre with minor injuries.

The baby was taken to the Royal Children's Hospital for observation.

Police have appealed for witnesses.

Victoria's road toll now stands at 223, 25 fewer than at the same time last year.

Brave and modest about it, too. That's the sort of thing the brave and hero tags should be reserved for, even if the kid is too modest to accept them. There's a picture of the car he crawled into with the story and it ain't pretty. It's amazing the baby survived at all. That he had the guts to crawl in there is amazing.
His parents should be very proud of him.

Yeah, good on him. and he thought to hold the babe's head. I agree Myth, they musta done alright. It's impressive that the emergency services let him help as well though, I guess cos of the magnitude of the accident they needed as many hands/voices as they could get.

Going by the article I think the "two guys" were just bystanders as well. I get the impression the emergency services hadn't arrived at the point where he went in. They tend to get everyone to move back when they're on the scene.

Sorry, I respectfully disagree. Part of any healthy democracy is a loud voice of dissent. It is what helps change and grow our society. If he sees something lacking, it is his duty as a good citizen to make that known. He has an implied right of free speech.

You don't have to agree with him. But he has every right to say it.

They're not (and I'm not) saying he doesn't have the right to say it, but if he hates everything about Australia, why did he become a citizen? Why does he keep coming back here? Why doesn't he move to a country where his views are the accepted standard instead of continuing to come back here where they never - and I do mean never - will be accepted?
