Robowars III: Judgement Day

These events are usually some fun. Well, they're usually 3 minutes of fun followed by half an hour of pit work before the next round starts, but those brief robo battles are usually amusing.

Pass it along to anyone in Victoria who you think might be excited. It's just like Pokemon, except really really not!

Greetings Robot Combat Fans !

The biggest event of the year on the Australian Robotic Combat calender is gearing up for for a huge weekend of Continuous Carnage !

Saturday the 14th and Sunday the 15th January 2006 at SideTracked in Oakliegh - Melbourne

Yes, the days until RoboWars III are counting down, with just a little over 2 weeks to go, the entrants from around Australia are tweaking and tuning their machines to see who has the big nuts to go all the way and defeat all comers, and more than 30 robots vying for the top-spot, it wont be an easy battle to win.

"Sparks will fly and Robots will Die" as Hi Speed spinning blades pound on indestructible armour, and the dangerous drivers do their best to disable, damage and destroy. If you have ever seen Robot Wars on TV and liked it, wait until you see it *Live* - its like Roman Gladiators, but no Lions (or people) get hurt.. Action, Adrenaline and Awesome Engineering on show for your excitement. This is no virtual reality video game, this is Real Life mechanical mayhem .. a spectating experience not to be found anywhere else in Australia.

Admission is free, bring the whole family (dont blame us if they want you to build a robot afterwards though).

Battles and Eliminations start at 11am Saturday and the Finals will be Sunday Afternoon. and there is plenty to do at SideTracked in between Rounds, so the action never stops.

More Information can be found at http://www.robowars.org

---

Please note that for safety reasons, there will be NO PIT ACCESS to the general public. These machines are very dangerous up close and we would like you and your children to leave with the same number of fingers you arrived with. The safe way to watch Combat Robots is from behind the Bulletproof glass walls.

Don't forget that we have an online forum where you can talk to the builders and drivers, and learn how to build your own Combat Robot to compete in future events. The Forum is at http://forum.robowars.org

SideTracked is located at 370 Huntingdale Rd Sth, Oakliegh, Melbourne, or visit their website - http://www.sidetracked.com.au
