George Foreman Has no fingerprints!!!

Quote:
FOREMAN GETS GRILLED - 10/01/05
Former heavyweight boxer George Foreman, who has reached popularity again with his range of cooking appliances, was held by security for 4 hours at the Miami International Airport today.

Security would not allow Foreman, who had been doing promotion in Japan, back into the country as he could not provide the fingerprints required by federal law for entry. An accident over 15 years ago while using drain cleaner resulted in chemical burns to both his hands, and the loss of most of his fingerprints.

A spokesperson for the MIA, Terry Noble, said "It has been an unfortunate misunderstanding and the airport sincerely apologises to Mr Foreman." He also stated that a review of the procedures at the airport had been launched to prevent the situation arising again.
how weirddddd is that?!

Discuss.

The depth of burn you need to remove fingerprints means that very few people "dream" of such a thing, which is why fingerprints are so often used as a form of identification, at least for the living.
People who break and enter are not the sort of people who'd be dedicated enough to burn their fingerprints off. Hell, they can't even be fucked getting a job and buying their own shit.

I think the only really weird part of the story is that people at an American airport failed to recognise George "I have my own line of grilling products for no apparent reason" Foreman.

Plus, you'd almost certainly be left with characteristic burns, rather than just perfectly smooth pads, so you'd still leave a unique print. When people see George Foreman loitering suspiciously near an apartment building shortly before a break and enter is performed by someone who leaves burned-off-print marks instead of fingerprints, things aren't going to go well for George.

You know what else is weird? He named all his sons George. Megalomaniacal wanker.

I wouldn't say megalomaniacal. He just plans ahead.

I admit that I yell out several names (including the cat) before I get to the kid I mean. Example: "Harold, Mr Cat, Ian, JANIE*!! Stop it!" It would be so much easier if I only had to remember Magnus.

Why Magnus? I love the name and I wanted to name both my daughter and son Magnus, but my husband vetoed it for both. He didn't like the nickname Maggie for a girl, and he would only let me name my son Magnus if the name Wangus followed.

*Except for Mr Cat, all the other names have been changed to protect the guilty.

So, it's ok for George Foreman not to have fingerprints, but not for me not to have a heart?
