he has always said that he didn't like kids.

Drunk Midget to even Drunker Chick - Have you ever had anyone go up on you before?

Son: Is there anything we can do to get Buffy back?
Mom: Well, we could join together in prayer.
Son: Uh huh. Is there anything useful we can do?
Mom: No.

I've just heard, from another forum that I visit, that the baby has been born.

The poster that mentions the birth is very good friends with Tim Minchin and he sent them the news in one of their emails.

Maybe Tim found the news when they were seeing if he was free for an appearence or two on 'The Sideshow'.

I have to agree with Alisso. As much as I am a fan of Paul's, I have always respected his desire for privacy. With that said, I can't deny I'm not interested, but that's just human nature. I wish him and Melissa a happy and healthy baby and all the privacy they want!! (I'm such a suck!)

About his public persona though, it will be great to see him again on tv, and I just got an email from the organisers of the comedy festival, and Paul is once again back at this years comedy debate!

To the first bit: I agree. And to the proud parents 'Well done- you've managed to keep the baby and it's birth under wraps' an achievement worthy of congratulations.

To the second part: YAY!!!! He'll do a great job. I'm sure.

Amities,

I was fortunate enough to meet Paul McDermott at a film festival. The festival was aimed at 18-25 year olds, so although we are technically adults, he was very nice and easy to talk to.

I'm sure he'd be a good father, not exactly the first thing that comes to mind, really... first thing that comes to mind is congratulations!

Can we start a thread called, "why is everyone breeding?"? (ooh, double question marks!)

I swear that there's been a mass breeding boost among people I know, friends and relatives. (And comedians too) What the hell is going on?

p.s. To Paul & family, thumbs-up on the avoiding media thing..but avoiding speculation? Not gonna happen.

Yeah, perhaps it's a government conspiracy to deal with the problem of Australia's aging population...
