Nothing can breach the gap between the dimensions again ... unless the shitty scripts for Torchwood keep up and the series gets canned, that is.

Things that "shouldn't be possible" happen fairly frequently on Doctor Who. All the Daleks were supposed to be dead, for example.
They based a whole spinoff series around an impossibility, after all.

THE DA-LEKS WILL NEVER DIIIIE!

Ratings are stronger than physics/science/canon/commonsense. The Daleks will be back.

This is related to Doctor Who so I'll put it in here.

Doctor Who spin-off series Torchwood is coming to Ch10 "Soon". Groovy!

I've only watched the first few episodes, but it didn't really grab me. However, I have been told that it does get much better after that, so I'll have to give it another chance when it reached our screens.

Overall Torchwood is good, in my opinion. But there's definitely some dud episodes/scenes.

Thumbs up Review of Torchwood [series]

Funny, but after Torchwood I have decided I like Captain Jack. A lot of people refuse to watch it because the show is blantantly bisexual, which I personally think is stupid and limiting... but yeah. There is actually a lot of really adult things in what at first glance seems like a kids show. This is apparently because of the [9pm] watershed, the producers went to town with that. I think it balances out better as it goes. There is a scene with an exploding rat which I suppose was fun to make, but which is really unnecessary.
I think if you liked Mulder and Scully, then this will work for you (minus the first few episodes).
I rate it 3 out of 5. Worth watching, but its ok if you don't see it. However if you're like me and you desperately need SF tv, then go for it

I'm not a fan of the bisexual angle on the show because they bludgeon everyone over the head with it all the time. We get it, he fancies the boys! Whoopdidoooo!
Lots of profanity on the show too though, so that could be fun.

Yeah, actual Doctor Who is way more subtle. No spoilers, but I've seen up to date third series and I'm quite happy with [removed spoiler]. Really can't wait for them to show it here...oh and... isn't it set for a sat 7.30 timeslot? does that mean mcdermott is going into offseason? why can't i have both!!!!

Don't say no spoilers and then post a spoiler.
I don't know when S3 is coming on here but Sideshow might only be running for a short number of episodes for its first run and maybe get picked up for more later if ratings justify it.

The best part of Torchwood was the very last 10 seconds of the season.

Doctor Who is a kid's show, Torchwood is the guy who created Queer as Folk let loose in that universe with a MA rating.

Ok.... I didn't consider it a spoiler because its common knowledge. (For actual fans) Better make sure people don't watch any trailers either!

I probably don't know whatever it was that got removed.

I recommend you don't try and pretend you're a bigger/truer Dr Who fan than me.

As was said earlier in the thread, not everyone follows the series' every move religiously and some people deliberately avoid doing so so they don't get spoilt.

GM the spoiler that was posted is actually already posted earlier in the thread. It's the same thing I just forgot that it was already here.
