How convenient of the moon! "Tonight's eclipse begins at 6.51 and ends at 10.24. The moon will be totally eclipsed from 7.52 to 9.23." Says SMH. I'm going to head outside and try to take pictures, only I have no idea where in the sky the moon will actually be. And beyond "Look! Up in the sky!" I can't get any idea from any of the articles about it either. Does anyone actually know? You can even give the position in astronomical measurements since there's still time to go find a convertor for them. ![]() Is anyone else going to go look at the mooooooooon? Anyone else going to take pictures and feel like sharing them with the rest of the class? ![]()

I ended up taking some snaps on the digital camera of mainly when the moon was disappearing and not of the colour... and when I work out how to transfer the to the computer I'll glad show some of them. ![]()

Damn clouds covered it up!!! They got to see some of it. Mythor, your pic is good. I will have to show the kids. Oh, I will also need to look up other pics. I want to see the full eclispe in all its glory. Daughter just saw your pic, Myth, and she says that you did a good job. ![]()

Tell your daughter thankyouverymuch. ![]() If people haven't already seen, the SMH has a slideshow sort of thing up on their site with some pretty nice shots - clicky. You might want to mute your speakers before watching, the "music" is crap and they've got some little kid saying "mummy mummy look at the mooooon" all the time. Nice pictures though so worth a look if you want to see more mooooooooooon.

Young girls and older men in a mutual admiration. Wait, that sounds a bit pervy... oh well, Daughter even liked the smileys you used. I tried to look at the SMH thingie (with no sound as told), and it was taking ages to load. Maybe it is because my ISP sucks and I need a better d/l speed. But if I can't get it to work at 7am with most people asleep or getting ready for work, then I guess later is out of the question. I found some pics (not a slideshow) on an SA ABC site - clicky. It has pics from various people. The SMH one is better, but if that doesn't work, maybe try the SA ABC one. Anyone else got links to cool eclipse pics?
