I've been around these parts on and off for a little while so I thought I'd take the opportunity to shamelessly promote the debut EP launch in Melbourne of my band, The Robot Invasion. We've been playing around Melbourne pubs since March this year so, reasonably, it's about time to put something out! It will take place from 8pm on 22 November in Melbourne at The Arthouse (616 Elizabeth Street, cnr Elizabeth and Queensberry). Helping us launch this baby are San Salvador, Escapist and Rise & Shine. We play a kind of rock reggae, which sounds a little like Sublime mixed with the Cat Empire. Or so I'm told. The band's MySpace is here, the event on Facebook is here (with the Facespace group devoted to the band here) and we'd be very very happy if you Melbourne Moshers'd consider attending. Cheers!
