A large number of people at Mark Watson's 24 hour show submitted sms votes for Hillsy some time yesterday, but after he dressed up as a goth in leather and fishnets and excessive make-up, I think Adam was a bit worried that he might have blown his chance. I think it'd be nice if Australia proved him wrong on that one *G* It'd be fantastic to have a Gold Logie winner who wasn't Rove or Lisa McCune *g*

And maybe someone could explain why there's a Graham Kennedy award for new talent as well as the normal new talent awards. Is he going to pick the award himself? No? So why double it up. Should rename it the "We Tell You Who You Should Have Voted For New Talent Award" and have done with it.

I take it Underbelly started after nominations closed? It's shit but I figured it would win in a landslide due to the controversy.

The normal new talent ones are popular votes, and the Graham Kennedy award is (supposedly) for someone that is actually good, not just that the teeny boppers like. I agree with you, however, I think one or the other should be enough.

I think the hardest category to pick is light entertainment / comedy program - any one of them could win and the rest could feel ripped off for losing!

Also - 8 nominees for the Gold - what's doing there??? Surely they all weren't that close in votes.

I know some people here will disagree (but that's why we have opinions, so others can disagree), but I hope Chris Lilley doesn't win. I have never liked him, even when he was on the Big Bite. I don't think he's funny, I think he's Daryl Somers funny - I know some people find him funny, I just think he's stupid!! Go Hillsy!!!
