classic comedy

What classic comedy shows do you think need to be brought back to TV? There are a whole bunch that are begging to be syndicated so I can see constant reruns? What would be your number one choice and why?

Not sure about older shows, but in terms of modern ones, all that matters is Scrubs and the Office which both have reruns on all the time. It's cheesy, but I could go for some more How I met your mother episodes being on more. I heard a while back that it was going to happen, but that was months ago so not sure if it was just a rumor or not.

I'd really like to see new episodes of Red Dwarf but that seems fairly unlikely at this stage. It should at least be repeated far more often on television so the young whippersnappers get to experience good comedy on TV before the inevitable apocalypse.

Also, being some what of a young/old fart, I'd love to see The Late Show (D Generation, not Dave Letterman) Comedy Company, Fast Forward be repeated (I'm showing my Aussie pride here!!)

I'd also love to see Hale and Pace shown back on tv. I loved them!!

Not as unlikely as you may think. They've been working on something new for a while now.

Plus this news from last August.
The Chris Barrie BBS -> OMG!OMG!OMG! Here it is!

And more recently.
Red Dwarf: Is There More Red Dwarf On The Way?

And while I know that rumours surrounding the Dwarf never really pan out, I reserve the right to remain hopeful about this one.

Oh I know they've been working on this and that but it hasn't amounted to a whole lot just yet, so it doesn't really count.

Although it isnt an old show How I met your mother has in fact been picked up by Lifetime Tv network.. And I happen to know it starts tonight thanks to my favorite blog: This Week’s TV Premieres and Specials: January 4-10, 2009 | The TV Legion

I used to love these guys too, but after having rewatched some of their stuff, it seems quite dated and not as funny as i remembered them to be.

I'd also like to see British classics re-aired. Like Red Dwarf too and Black Adder. But on the other hand, all the shows I like, I own on dvd anyway, so I'd just want them replayed for the young'uns.
