Drunk Midget to even Drunker Chick - Have you ever had anyone go up on you before?

Son: Is there anything we can do to get Buffy back?
Mom: Well, we could join together in prayer.
Son: Uh huh. Is there anything useful we can do?
Mom: No.

Yes, you are.

If it was GM's robots for example then yeah great idea but Roving Enterprises is insured.

I'm sure he would've had the place insured so I don't really think there's any need for a fundraiser? It wasn't Roving Enterprise's main office or anything.

The concern seems to be more the loss of the Aria Awards night material they'd planned on using. They'll have to replace the stuff or sort out alternatives. Money can't be converted into time and time is what they really need...

There's one article floating around saying the Rove[Live] program library has been ruined, would Ten have them (what went to air at least) in their library?

ah yeah... I think Rove, and Channel 10, are rich enough to take care of themselves. but feel free to prove me wrong.

the only things I'm sure they feel a great loss about is those irreplaceable items - and those hours of work on the aria scripts and stuff. I really don't think money will be an issue. but good on you for caring.

Mice caused $2m Rove fire
October 8, 2004

MICE are being blamed for a devastating fire earlier this week at television presenter Rove McManus' Melbourne production office.

The $2 million fire on Wednesday night at Rove Enterprises, in inner-suburban Abbotsford, destroyed editing suites, props and a wardrobe department.

Metropolitan Fire Brigade commander Ian Hunter said it looked as if the fire had been caused by rodents chewing through electrical wiring in the ceiling.

Investigators found no evidence of any history of faulty electrical equipment or wiring, he said.

"The balance of probabilities was that it was a mouse attack," he said.

Everything 'on track' for Arias

08oct04 - Herald Sun

TELEVISION presenter Rove McManus will win his race against time to complete preparations for Sunday week's ARIA awards, despite a fire at his office, according to his manager Kevin Whyte.

A $2 million fire earlier this week at Rove Enterprises Melbourne production office, in inner-suburban Abbotsford, destroyed props, computers and graphic packages for the music industry awards.
Mr Whyte said staff managed to save several laptops containing graphics for the awards show, which will be held at the Sydney Superdome on Sunday, October 19.
"The Arias will be fine," he said. "We didn't know how much we had until we went through the computers."
Mr Whyte said they lost a sketch for the music industry's big night and that will have to be rebuilt from scratch.

Staff have moved into the other Melbourne office of Rove Enterprises, where temporary editing facilities are being set up.
"Television people are used to working under pressure, so our team of producers is coping well," he said.
The cause of the fire is still unknown as the Metropolitan Fire Brigade does not expect the site will be made safe for investigators until Monday.
Mr Whyte said Rove Enterprises staff were also anxious to get into the building to see what they could salvage.
"Until we can get in to find out what is under the rubble, we won't know just how much can be salvaged," he said. "There could be a workable editing suite under there."
Mr Whyte said filming of Skithouse sketches had not been affected by the blaze, because it was out of production.

Rove's $2m bill
October 9, 2004 – Herald Sun

ROVE McManus is still counting the toll of the damage after fire destroyed the headquarters of his company, Roving Enterprises.

Some estimates placed the damage bill as high as $2 million.
Sources also suggested to the Herald Sun that McManus may have been under-insured.
But McManus's manager, Kevin Whyte, said the TV star was adequately covered.

Maybe KM wasn't wrong and Little Johnny was creeping about.

I'm sure they're insured enough.

It's all John Safran's fault - the fire was probably someone trying to fulfill the Fatwa he had placed on Rove.

Forget it Ming, Dale's with me!

Yeah, like a raging inferno could cause more damage to my robots than I do in the course of a typical performance. Prime was looking somewhat shabby towards the end of the show's season.
But thanks for the sentiment.
