Exclamation Guidelines for Posting Articles

1) Please do a quick search in the forum to see if there is already a thread about a particular comedian. Most comedians have their own thread. If not, please feel free to start one if it doesn't fit into another category (Fringe related, Comfest Related, TV Comedy, Sydney Stand-up, Melbourne Stand-up etc).

PLEASE POST ARTICLES IN THE THREAD ALREADY ESTABLISHED WHERE POSSIBLE.

we've managed to cut down the threads a great deal by merging threads, i'd hate to have to do it again.

2. Please try and include a link & the article in the post. the link covers our arses copyright wise and the article keeps it here once other servers delete old articles.

3. In the title of a new thread, please describe it as the comedian or show in question rather than the heading of the article as it gets quite confusing and i then have to go through each article to work out who the hell it is about.
eg/ "Paul McDermott Article (date if possible)" rather than "Midget tossing the new fun"

4. If you are aware of an article but cannot post it until later please wait until you actually have the article to post. it cuts down on empty threads of people going "yeah there's this article about blah blah, i'll type it up later 2nite" then 3 years later, still no article.

5. If you are aware of an article but do not have access to it, please post ONCE that the article is floating around (more than likely someone else will have access to it). once this is posted, can we please refrain from having 15 people post "please can you type this up for me?" and then another 15 saying thanks. Myself or another moderator will delete your post once the article is in the appropriate place.

6. Pictures can be posted with the article, provided the photographers name and link to the article is listed, but can we please refrain from 30 people squealing "omg blah looks soooooo hot in that picture". Perve on your own time people, stop taking up mosh space.

7. try and keep Off-Topic articles to a minimum unless you are sure that it will generate discussion. This also goes for off-topic discussion. The articles are there to discuss the comedian/show, not for you to describe your car trip to your Nan's.

8. Articles written by Moshers are to go in the Mosher Scrawlings forum, unless you are actually published.

Drunk Midget to even Drunker Chick - Have you ever had anyone go up on you before?

Son: Is there anything we can do to get Buffy back?
Mom: Well, we could join together in prayer.
Son: Uh huh. Is there anything useful we can do?
Mom: No.

And if there isn't a link, could you include the source the article is from?
I've noticed a few times there have been articles posted but no reference to where they came from.

Posting attributions for articles is already in the rules. If anyone sees an article being posted in it's entirety without an attribution, let a moderator know. (Erm, it's supposed to be in the rules, but I can't find it right now. It is a rule, though. Ner. )
