| MOSH Addict | No actual article, and I'm not going to do a review, but I thought I'd revive this sleepy thread with a bit of news. Last night and Friday night, Gud featured on the line-up of the Canberra performances of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow. Sign of things to come, or flashback to the past? Only time will tell... | ||

Reputation: ![]() Reputation Power: 2 | I only found out today that Gud performed at the Enmore Theatre last night (Friday) for the Melbourne Comedy Festival Roadshow. Damn - if I had known before hand - I would have gone. Stupid non-existent publicity!!! Did anyone go - how was it???

| MOSHer | Are you sure they performed? It seems kinda odd seeing as though they weren't at this years festival... | ||

| MOSH Addict | I am completely certain about Canberra, and have some circumstantial evidence that the Enmore thing could be right *G* I definitely think it was an odd move to put someone on the roadshow when they weren't actually a part of the festival. Possibly they had trouble getting enough acts who were prepared to do the roadshow this year? Then again, you'd think Sydney would be an easy roadshow to get performers for, even if you had to go with just Sydney performers... | ||

Reputation: ![]() Reputation Power: 2 | The Daily Telegraph on Friday had them as performing. I only read the paper on Saturday, which is how I found out. So I guess they did perform. I scanned the article from the Telegraph to show. Gud Enmore Theatre 20 July 2008.jpg

Reputation: ![]() Reputation Power: 0 | I can confirm that on Friday GUD did in fact play at the Enmore Theatre on Friday night and they were excellent. They closed the show and were on stage for about 40 mins. The performance consisted of material from their old performances. I cannot recall them doing one thing that I had not seen them do previously. Some of the things they did were Stranger Danger, the Alan Seale skit including his interpretation of 6 White Boomers, the Al Qaeda melody of songs, Queers, generally picking on old and ugly people in the audience, Mick's song Ruby (including fast forward and rewind sequences) and a great performance of Cock on Legs as the finale. The good news (no pun intended) for people that were not there is that the performance was filmed and Paul announced that it would be screened on Channel 10 later this year.

Reputation: ![]() Reputation Power: 0 | well that's nice news =) I've had uni exams these past few weeks, and hadn't been online at all until this weekend when I read about the performances at Canberra and Newtown, and then at 5pm last night, I found out that the last Roadshow performance was on that night, at 8pm right near where I live! So I was very excited and was really hoping Gud were going to be there, but unfortunately they weren't....instead we were treated to a rather feeble performance by Greg Fleet as our closing item. But Colin Lane was the mc which was fun.

He did a reading from a Mills and Boon type book.
